The primary function of the Department is to develop educational institutions and provide high quality education to the Citizens of Lehmark, this is primarily achieved though the Imperial University.
In addition to managing the operations of the University, the Department is responsible for Educational Policy, Education Reform and necessary legislation.
The Imperial University of Lehmark was officially opened on 14 August 2019 and originally offered an Associate Degree in Imperial Law - since then the Imperial University has expanded to offer several Associate Degrees across many disciplines - the University has plans to add even more Degrees.

Current Education Policy
As at 16 November 2021
The Development Plan of 2021 was mostly successful and therefore the Plan in 2022 will be similar, the Department will continue to undertake simplification and expansion of the Imperial Law Degree. The Emperor will undertake expansion of Hangul and Batchim Degrees.
The Department will extend most of the Development Plan from 2021 into 2022.
The Imperial University of Lehmark was founded on 14 August 2019 via Imperial Decree published by His Imperial Majesty William the first, Emperor and Autocrat of Lehmark and was done so in accordance with Basic Right 17 - The Right to Access Basic Services.
It is a firm belief of His Imperial Majesty that education is the most important service a Nation can provide to her people and in 2020 Education in Lehmark was made 100% Free and fully Digitized.

Institute of Micropatriological Research of Lehmark
Head of the Institute of Micropatriological Research of Lehmark: Mr Zabëlle Skye
The Institute of Micropatriological Research of Lehmark is a research institute dedicated to the study of micronationalism, the development of the field of micropatriology, and providing statistics and initiatives to the micronational community.
The Institute runs the Micronational Internet Hall of Fame - which helps to recognise micronations and their digital beginnings in the 1990's following the dawn of the Internet and greater abilities to connect with one another.
During 2023 the Institute will be aiming to expand its Micronational Dictionary, write a Degree for the University and undertake statistical research which will analyse the demographics of the whole community.
