POlitics in Lehmark

The Empire of Lehmark is a Constitutional Imperial Autocracy whose Head of State/Government is the Emperor and Autocrat of Lehmark who solely exercises executive and legislative authority via Imperial Decree as Granted by the Constitution of the Empire.

The Imperial Senate was originally an elected body of State Senators who would provide advice to the Emperor and convey issues relating to their Electorate, the Senate has since grown to include the whole Imperial Government, Peers of Lehmark and a few unique positions. However the Senate is still only an advisory body as the Constitution forbids a legislative assembly - Political Parties are also forbidden.

The Emperor can request advice from the Imperial Senate in regards to all areas of policy, legislation and development, but is not bound by the advice. An Imperial Decree made by the Emperor must be in line with the Constitution and not contradict the Bill of Rights.

States of Lehmark are granted legislated Senate Representation and hold Elections on 1 January and 1 June annually to elect State Senators.

Senate Membership is made up of the following people:

  • Emperor and Autocrat of Lehmark.
